Probably the cheapest for phoning out of Greece is the pre paid telephone card to be used in conjunction with public telephone boxes. Cards for these can be purchased at most Kiosks which are quite popular in most places on the Island. Be aware that telephoning from Hotels is normally more expensive and of course if you have a mobile phone that roaming charges can be very expensive indeed. Postal Services. As for telephone cards, postage stamps can also be purchased at any of the many kiosks to be found, also at souvenier or newsagents selling postcards. Post boxes are also available in most places. Our experience is to send your postcards at the start of your holiday as the delivery times can be quite lengthy. Greek Post Box Greek Postal Logo Internet Services. In this modern day technological age most of us will probably want to check our e-mails when abroad or on holiday. I certainly know that internet Cafe’s are to be found in Samos Town, Pythagorion, Kokkari and i should imagine also in Karlovassi. The prices are quite reasonable certainly the IC’s i have been to. Some Hotels and other establishments may well also have internet facilities. Be aware that the internet cannot be received or is very weak in certain area’s of Samos Island please enquire as to the connectivity where you will be staying if you are reliant upon the internet for any purpose whatsoever.
